Welcome to
the web site of 'Momma Fish', the folk-rock band from the small village of
Renwick in Cumbria. We have become well-known locally and have played gigs
in many areas of Cumbria. We also have a number of gigs planned in
2005 but by no means a full calendar, so we are available for bookings; please contact
us for information.

BIOGRAPHY
Formed in February 2004 as a way of
passing time (as there is never much to do in Renwick), Momma Fish wasn't
intended to be a serious band. Our first 'gigs' were played on top of a hill
that looked out on Renwick, in the hope that people passing through the village
would notice us and stop to listen.
Gradually, as we realised our
combination of vocals and harmonica (Cal), Guitar (Stu) and tambourine (Mike)
worked we decided to go public, by first playing in Renwick and then, with the
addition of piano (Mike), backing vocals and songs written by Stuart (and the
occasional song by Cal) , doing gigs in the local pub. From then the news of
Momma Fish has spread over a surprisingly large area of Cumbria (see Gigs
page for details).
